Events 2006 - Blanket Collection for the
Asian Earthquake
Blanket Collection for Earthquake Appeal
Islamic Relief is supplying tents and blankets to survivors in Muzaffarabad's tent camps, where survivors are living in increasing squalid conditions. Islamic Relief is also distributing food to 180,000 people in the affected area and providing access to clean water for 2,000 families.
At our Centre, we have decided that we would help with this effort. If you have any clean blankets – used or new – please bring to the Centre on the next 4 Sundays – i.e. 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th January. We will take all blankets collected to Birmingham where Islamic Relief have a ‘collection & distribution centre’. (Please note that blankets are preferred because they are much more easier to dry than duvets.)
We can also collect from your home – please ring Dilipbhai on xxxxxxxx or Vinodbhai on xxxxxxx.
